I bought this for my son when he was 7, he likes to do word searches & this was a very good one! We took it on a trip to FL & it kept him & his older brother amused for quite awhile, while not just wasting time like all those "mind numbing" hand held electronic games do! P.S. I homeschool ALL my 7 kids (4 are through college & grown, 3 remain, ages 9 -15) My 9 year old is in Algebra 1, & my 15 year old is in Calculus & Physics, so they keep me going looking for ways to incorporate "learning" new info or reviewing "past" studies, without it being sooooo dry & boring! Let's face it some things just are tedious!!So I am ALWAYS on the lookout for FUN ways to stimulate their desires to learn various subjects!!
This book is the perfect size to carry in your purse or diaper bag. My son loves the puzzles which gives him a break from his coloring books. The answers are in the back if the child is having a little trouble completing the words.
I bought this book and some others like it from for my 5 year old son who seems to love puzzles and "search" games. He gobbled up this book and it was great because the size of the book is small so it could easily fit into his backpack so we could always have it with him after school.
These books are great anywhere for children, I like to mix a few books,Add some colored pencils, and maybe some gum or candy, andThey make great little gifts for kids,other than toys,or tv, while traveling.
We have a granddaughter who loves animals, and also loves to work puzzles. We happened to see this book on, and not being able to find one locally that was aimed at a child's level, we ordered this little book for her.She has really enjoyed working the puzzles in it. Her Mom puts it in her purse, when they go somewhere that is going to require a waiting period and it keeps the little one occupied until the waiting in line is finished.
These books are perfect size to put in my purse for the kids (ages 3 & 6) for whenever we have some down time to help keep them busy while we wait for something. Great to have in the car for something to do.
For kids little books are not all that great. Not exactly what I expected. Kids need big letters and pics to help them stay on track or not loose the letters. The book arrived on time and new condition. All in all they are using it they seem to enjoy it.
I was under the impression this dot-to-dot was a regular size, not mini. My mistake! :) It's a great take-along, do it in the car dot-to-dot. My 4 years old daughter LOVES it. It's small & compact-she can carry it everywhere.
